About Us

Humano Journo is an independent non-partisan publication focusing on humanitarian and socio-environmental crises. We deliver reporting with diverse viewpoints not influenced by governments, corporations, or special interest groups that often question the status quo.

Our Focus

We focus on people. The story of one and a few often reflects the story of many. We give the spotlight to unique individuals or small groups that could be everyday people, the underrepresented and marginalized voices. , by giving them a voice in a highly chaotic media. From people who have been impacted by war to people exploited by governments and corporations to people displaced through natural disasters, we are here to tell their story. 

Exploration of controversial issues is a non-issue. We thrive on critical analysis and providing critical perspectives that go beyond conventional thinking. We strive to create thought-provoking and unique narratives to our audiences in forms of original content. 

Our Values

Editorial independence. We are fully reader and audience funded, with all revenue being invested back to improving the platform in all aspects. We do not welcome outside funding, whether from an investor, sponsor, institution, political party or otherwise to influence our work.

Transparency. We believe that it is only fair to our investor, you, the readers, to know where we get our funding, what we do with it, and the impact we have made. Hence, we will release transparency reports to our members annually to have no walls between us and the readers. This also goes to our publication, we always make sure we are honest and transparent as possible in our reporting and analysis.

Our Format

There is no limitation to our content formats. Depending on how we see which format best fits the story, we will pursue that medium to ensure that the story is told in its purest form.
